Jason Ogden
Jason's an elementary chess coach with years of experience leading programs across multiple schools and community organizations. "I was once a student in a similar chess program myself, and my love for the game has grown into a passion for helping today’s kids experience the same confidence, joy, and growth through chess." Jason is passionate about creating a positive, professional environment where every child can grow, succeed, and enjoy learning chess.
Jason Ogden
Jason Ogden is co-owner of Board One Academy and a lifelong chess player and enthusiast. Jason discovered his love for chess at an early age and has been passionate about fostering a positive environment for young learners ever since. As a dedicated coach, he loves helping students unlock critical thinking and confidence through play, with a focus on making every lesson memorable and engaging.
Matteo Labrecque
Matteo is a chess coach with over 2 years of experience teaching through schools, private groups, and one-on-one lessons. He is a four-time undefeated Orange County Scholastic Champion with a strong competitive background. He loves helping kids build confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through chess. "Our goal is to create a fun, supportive environment where kids improve, enjoy learning, and reach their chess goals."
